Title of paper:

'The BC Polygamy Decision and Women's Agency in Law'

Abstract:

The recent B.C. Polygamy Reference justified the constitutionality of the crime of polygamy on the grounds of harms caused to women, children, society, and monogamous marriage. This paper explores the dimensions of constitutional citizenship that this decision portends for the women who are living in polygamous relationships in Canada.
